Difference of 4 axis and 5 axis robot arm stamping manipulator
1. up and down axis: Realize upward retrieving and downward positioning and discharging。Solve the height difference of the working surface between two processes.
2. Swing axis (left and right axis) Realize the left and right transfer of products between the two processes
3. Front and rear axles (telescopic axles) Realize the flexible transfer of products between two processes. The robot can be flexibly placed between the two press machines. The distance change is adjusted by stretching this axis.
4. Calibration axis (Machine head rotation axis): Realize the direction adjustment of the product between the two processes. Cooperate with the front and rear axles to achieve fast and precise positioning.
5. Flip axis: Realize the front and back of the product are turned 180 degrees separately. Solve the flipping and tilting discharge between product processes (Four axis without this axis).
In short, 4 axis functions as following:
1. arm left and right
2. arm up and down
3. arm in and out
4. rotation of machine head (see the picture below)
5 axis has one more function: turn over of arm (4 axis can't)
